Engineering Manager – Team Monetisation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Lead, develop, and support a team of full-stack engineers through one-on-one meetings, career advancement, recruitment, and constructive feedback.

• Take ownership of the Monetisation domain, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery aligned with a clear roadmap.

• Establish technical direction with the team and provide guidance on architecture while resolving complex challenges.

• Collaborate with the product team to prioritize initiatives across value-added services, payments, and escrow.

• Advocate for AI-assisted engineering as an integral part of the team's operational workflow.

• Align the engineering roadmap and daily tasks with revenue outcomes.

• Engage in pricing, checkout processes, payment transactions, recurring subscriptions, product activations, and experimentation/CRO.

• Develop and sustain an escrow system that incorporates KYC/KYB, identity verification, payment processing, and payouts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing and nurturing a team of software engineers, including talent development and recruitment.

• Background in the payments or fintech industry (such as Stripe, Adyen, Braintree), or familiarity with escrow, KYC, or identity verification.

• Strong engineering foundation, preferably full-stack, with expertise in TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, and React.

• Demonstrated history of owning delivery for a team or domain: translating strategy into a roadmap and executing it.

• Comfortable with technical aspects: evaluating designs, steering architecture, and making necessary trade-offs.

• Knowledge of GraphQL and its application in large systems with multiple users.

• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL.

• Regular use of AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Codex) in engineering tasks, along with a perspective on team integration.

• Proficient in English is required.

• Preferred: experience with Grafana or similar monitoring and observability solutions.

• Preferred: experience with experimentation or CRO.

• Preferred: experience in introducing or scaling AI coding workflows at the team or organizational level.
