Engineering Manager – Team Monetisation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Lead, develop, and support a team of full-stack engineers through individual meetings, career advancement, recruitment, and constructive feedback.

• Take ownership of the delivery process for the Monetisation domain, ensuring consistent, high-quality output aligned with a transparent roadmap.

• Establish the technical direction with the team and provide guidance on architectural decisions.

• Remain actively involved to resolve challenging technical issues.

• Collaborate with product teams to define priorities for value-added services, payments, and escrow solutions.

• Advocate for the integration of AI-assisted engineering as a standard element of the team's practices.

• Link the engineering roadmap and daily tasks to revenue outcomes.

• Work together with broader engineering leadership to define priorities and eliminate obstacles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing and developing a team of software engineers, including talent development and recruitment.

• Background in the payments or fintech sectors, or familiarity with escrow, KYC, or identity verification processes.

• Strong engineering expertise, preferably full-stack with proficiency in TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, and React.

• History of taking ownership of delivery for a team or domain, translating strategy into a practical roadmap and successfully executing it.

• Comfortable reviewing design concepts, guiding architectural decisions, and making technical trade-offs.

• Knowledge of GraphQL and its application in large systems with multiple users.

• Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.

• Regular use of AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Codex in engineering practices.

• A perspective on how teams can adopt AI-assisted development methodologies.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Preferred: experience with Grafana or other monitoring and observability tools.

• Preferred: experience with experimentation and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

• Preferred: experience in introducing or scaling AI coding workflows either at the team or company level.
