This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead one of Apollo's most prominent and visible engineering teams within the Rep Experience organization.
• Establish, communicate, and uphold team objectives and expectations.
• Build and expand an engineering team through effective sourcing and hiring practices.
• Foster a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and enjoyment.
• Enhance development and management processes within Apollo Engineering.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership, Product Managers, Designers, and GTM stakeholders to swiftly deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in customer calls and act as an authority on the team's designated area.
• Influence and engage in decision-making within the engineering organization.
• Take part in sprint planning, software design, and occasional code reviews.
• Manage the team's on-call responsibilities in a sustainable manner.
• Provide technical guidance and occasional coding while mentoring engineers on the finer details.
• Facilitate trade-off discussions; manage sizing, estimation, and technical direction as the technical counterpart to the product lead.
• Over 8 years of practical software engineering experience in the industry.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in managing people, preferably leading senior engineers and managers.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, including experience with software architecture at scale, effective engineering processes, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficient in Ruby and Python.
• Knowledge of data privacy and security principles.
• Strong technical comprehension of engineering systems, particularly data-oriented systems.
• Skills in leadership, strategic execution, mentoring, and documentation processes.
• Familiarity with React, MongoDB, SQL, and Elasticsearch is a plus.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, and Looker is advantageous.
• Background in Sales Tech is a plus.
