Engineering Manager – Growth Foundations

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and support a diverse team of engineers responsible for delivering systems and features critical to growth.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to outline project scope, prioritize tasks, and ensure effective execution.

• Maintain clear expectations, provide realistic estimates, and ensure transparent communication with stakeholders.

• Offer technical guidance regarding architectural and implementation decisions.

• Cultivate accountability, trust, learning, impact, and autonomy within the team.

• Enhance team processes, communication, and collaboration across different time zones.

• Collaborate with engineering leaders to ensure consistency and best practices throughout Growth.

• Utilize AI tools on a daily basis to boost personal and team productivity.

• Remain actively involved in the codebase by writing production-quality code and upholding standards of quality, reliability, and speed.

• Develop AI-driven growth systems, tools, automations, and infrastructure that cater to millions of users worldwide.

• Proven experience in leading engineering teams and delivering high-quality outcomes in a collaborative setting.

• Strong leadership capabilities, including coaching, providing clarity, and empowering team members.

• Robust technical background, particularly in backend development.

• Ability to engage in design discussions and conduct code reviews effectively.

• Strong background as an individual contributor with the ability to write production-grade code.

• High level of proficiency in modern AI-driven development and regular use of AI tools.

• Familiarity with one or more modern programming languages, such as TypeScript, Rust, Go, Python, or similar.

• A product-oriented mindset focused on user impact and key performance metrics.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Experience working within distributed, remote-first teams.
