📋 Description

• Oversee engineering leads and senior engineers, conducting regular one-on-one meetings and establishing clear expectations.

• Take responsibility for delivery within your domain, including commitments, milestones, dependencies, and risk management.

• Foster team development through performance reviews, calibration, and promotion processes.

• Recruit and onboard exceptional engineers.

• Manage team processes such as planning, retrospectives, on-call duties, and incident resolution.

• Provide technical insight during design reviews and assist teams in balancing speed with long-term sustainability.

• Collaborate with Product, pharmacists, and customer-facing teams to ensure alignment of priorities and resource allocation.

• Work closely with the Director of Engineering, Product, pharmacists, and customer-facing teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years in engineering, including at least 2 years of experience managing engineers, preferably including team leads (we prioritize scope over years of experience).

• Proven ability to oversee delivery within a domain, making realistic commitments and proactively tracking risks.

• Strong technical judgment to participate in design reviews, challenge estimates, and guide teams through necessary trade-offs.

• Experience in hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers, while addressing performance issues with care and clarity.

• Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Product, customer-facing teams, and other engineering leaders.

• Proficient in written and verbal English communication, with the ability to work comfortably in a remote environment.

• Background in pharmacy or healthcare is preferred.

• Familiarity with AI-powered products, automation, or complex integrations.

• Experience in scaling a team during periods of rapid growth.
