Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Supervise the development of collaborative applications, encompassing cloud-connected SaaS and customer-managed single-tenant solutions.

• Act as a proactive technical leader within the product-engineering team.

• Guide engineering teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

• Recruit, mentor, coach, retain, and motivate individual contributors and technical leads in engineering.

• Establish and monitor goals and objectives for team members assigned to you.

• Engage in expense approval and budget management activities.

• Address technical challenges and human-factor issues to eliminate obstacles.

• Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings to present evidence that supports quality decision-making.

• Communicate effectively to provide clarity throughout the organization.

• Collaborate with architects, technical leads, product delivery managers, product managers, engineers, and quality engineering teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of industry experience with a track record of progressive responsibility.

• More than 4 years of technical leadership experience managing teams of 5 or more engineers.

• Exceptional leadership qualities, strong character, high emotional intelligence, and meticulous organizational skills.

• Growth-oriented leadership style, resilience, adaptability, and a keen willingness to learn rapidly.

• Experience with Amazon AWS services, including EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, ELB, and Lambda.

• Proficient in service/microservices-oriented computing architecture within a containerized environment.

• Knowledgeable in implementing infrastructure as code and integrating it into CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language: GoLang, C# on .Net, or Python.

• Comprehensive understanding of REST API, web protocols, and technologies such as HTTPS, CORS, Postman, JSON, and XML.

• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and the cloud transformation landscape.
