Engineering Manager – AutoReview

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Guide, mentor, and provide support to the engineers tasked with Build AutoReview.

• Collaborate closely with Product to establish priorities, evaluate feasibility, estimate initiatives, and create realistic timelines.

• Maintain sufficient technical insight across projects to identify risks, dependencies, and questionable assumptions at an early stage.

• Assist the team in executing significant AutoReview initiatives, including DFM checks, assembly analysis, and bulk review processes.

• Work alongside Engineering, Product, and the applied ML Team as AutoReview ventures into areas where ownership and technical strategies are still being defined.

• Establish focus when priorities shift rapidly due to new customer insights, technical advancements, or developments in AI and ML.

• Foster an environment where engineers possess clear context, meaningful ownership, and the resources to perform exemplary work.

• Transform broad product concepts into an actionable roadmap in collaboration with Product.

• Make early assessments on feasibility and scope while providing engineers with context and autonomy.

• Lead the development of AutoReview’s AI-enhanced mechanical design review capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing software engineers within a technically intricate product landscape.

• Strong technical background in modern web application and software architecture.

• Experience with geometric processing, 3D/CAD applications, graphics, or similar technical systems is highly advantageous.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Product on roadmap development, technical feasibility, estimation, and prioritization.

• Comfort in navigating evolving AI/ML technologies and understanding their implications on product and architectural decisions.

• Capable of swiftly processing new information, making well-considered decisions, and clearly communicating trade-offs.

• Experience managing engineers engaged in technically complex web applications.

• Ideally, background in geometry, 3D data, geometric processing, CAD, graphics, or related fields.
