Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the financial product development lifecycle of the Working Capital team.

• Directly contribute to the codebase for significant initiatives.

• Enhance team delivery timelines by strategically implementing AI and effective engineering practices.

• Ensure the successful delivery of key initiatives for the Working Capital team.

• Maintain operational excellence and develop products that align with business goals.

• Cultivate a self-sufficient, multidisciplinary team through contemporary software development methodologies.

• Elevate execution standards and technical quality within the Engineering department.

• Collaborate on solutions with multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.

• Lead incident management and address inefficiencies proactively before they escalate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in software engineering.

• At least 2 to 3 years in formal technical leadership roles or as a hands-on Engineering Manager.

• Background in fintech startups, B2B SaaS, or digital product development.

• Proven hands-on technical leadership with the capability to comprehend complex transactional architectures.

• Proficient in designing technical specifications and prototyping with the team.

• Ability to autonomously coordinate solutions across multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.

• Skilled in balancing trade-offs and effectively communicating the overarching product roadmap vision.

• Experience in building self-managing, multidisciplinary teams.

• Familiarity with iterative and incremental development approaches.

• Strategic application of AI, including automated testing, latency management, fallbacks, cost management, and observability.

• Experience in leading incidents and achieving results in highly ambiguous environments.

• Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js or Vite, and occasional Python.

• Knowledge of monorepos and modular architectures or similar frameworks.

• Experience with PostgreSQL.

• Understanding of event sourcing, KurrentDB/EventStore.

• Familiarity with Apache Pulsar and Temporal or similar technologies.

• Experience with GCP and Kubernetes/GKE.

• Knowledge of Dapr, KrakenD, and Istio or comparable tools.

• Proficient in GitHub Actions and Argo CD.

• Familiarity with SigNoz, Grafana, and Sentry or similar tools.

• Experience with LiteLLM and integration with OpenAI/Gemini models.

• Experience in data extraction or similar processes.
