Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead engineering teams in the development of scalable, dependable, customer-focused products.

• Promote the use of AI-assisted software development and AI engineering tools among engineering teams.

• Take charge of engineering delivery for customer-facing products from the discovery phase through to launch and ongoing operation.

• Implement modern full-stack, cloud-native, and distributed system architectures.

• Build, manage, and retain high-performing engineering teams.

• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams.

• Make architectural choices for intricate, scalable systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of software engineering experience, with substantial technical leadership background.

• At least 3 years of engineering management experience or equivalent technical leadership roles.

• Extensive experience in building and managing customer-facing products.

• Solid product development history, from discovery through launch and ongoing enhancement.

• Proficient in Java and Spring Boot.

• Strong grasp of microservices and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with Kafka and/or messaging systems.

• Comprehensive knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases.

• Experience with NoSQL/document databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Firestore.

• Strong understanding of AWS or GCP.

• Working knowledge of React and contemporary frontend development.

• Experience with APIs, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous systems.

• Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud-native development.

• Strong comprehension of observability, reliability, security, and production operations.

• Practical knowledge of AI/LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and AI agents.

• Experience in using or leading the adoption of AI coding and engineering tools.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making abilities.

• Capability to function at both strategic and technical levels.
