Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and propel the technical vision and architecture for Cadence's Clinical Intelligence platform, ensuring a balance between AI innovation and clinical safety, reliability, and transparency.

• Collaborate with clinical, product, design, and AI teams to develop the roadmap for clinician-supervised decision support and medication recommendation systems.

• Lead the creation of AI-driven clinical workflows that integrate patient data, evidence-based protocols, deterministic safety rules, and clinician oversight.

• Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of AI, backend, and full-stack engineers.

• Oversee the design, development, and operation of services, infrastructure, and evaluation frameworks that support medication recommendation and clinical decision support engines.

• Establish engineering standards, testing methodologies, observability, and validation processes to ensure clinical accuracy, system reliability, and regulatory compliance.

• Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous enhancement throughout the engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 years in a management position.

• Proven experience in leading the development of complex software products from inception to launch, ideally within healthcare, enterprise SaaS, or other regulated sectors.

• Experience in presenting technical strategies to executive stakeholders and actively participating in architecture and code reviews.

• Background in building backend systems utilizing modern cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), relational databases (Postgres or MySQL), and messaging systems like SQS or Kafka.

• Proficiency in Go.

• Familiarity with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted development tools; demonstrated experience in developing or assessing AI-powered systems in a production environment.
