This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge, high-quality software solutions.
• Manage and guide one or more teams of software engineers, promoting continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure team activities are aligned with the product vision and business objectives.
• Track team performance and offer feedback, coaching, and career development opportunities.
• Drive efficient processes and standards to support team success while upholding high engineering standards.
• Participate in architectural decisions, software development, and code review processes.
• Engage in resource planning and recruitment efforts to expand the engineering team.
• Cultivate an inclusive, collaborative, and positive team environment.
• Support software systems for CMS’s Hospital Quality Reporting program, assisting in the modernization of systems and alleviating provider burdens.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Over 7 years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
• Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile methodologies.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Databricks, Go, or Python.
• Proven experience in managing and leading software engineering teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to inspire and lead a team.
• Robust project management skills with a history of delivering projects on schedule.
• Proven success in personnel management, including hiring, performance management, and team development.
• US Citizenship or Green Card only; sponsorship is not available.
• US Residency for at least the last 3 years.
• Must meet the requirements to hold a position of Public Trust, including successful completion of a US Government background investigation.
