Engineering Manager – AI Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop the AI Transformation engineering team.

• Take responsibility for hiring, managing performance, and fostering career growth.

• Cultivate a high-performance engineering culture that emphasizes accountability.

• Oversee the architecture, delivery, and reliability of AI solutions, which encompass agents, plugins/skills, evaluation harnesses, integrations, and usage analytics.

• Provide guidance on technical decisions regarding agentic workflows, LLM integration, and MCP-based orchestration.

• Establish and uphold engineering standards for security, compliance, and auditability within a regulated financial services setting.

• Advocate for AI-assisted and agentic development workflows.

• Collaborate with Product, business units, and Enterprise AI Governance to ensure alignment of engineering delivery with business objectives.

• Manage delivery across initiatives that involve multiple teams.

• Define and monitor KPIs related to adoption, quality, and speed.

• Propel CI/CD, observability, and support rigor.

• Address technical debt and scalability as the portfolio of AI solutions expands.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or managers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering, including more than 2 years in technical leadership or management roles.

• Practical experience in developing and launching LLM-based or agentic AI products, including work with prompting, evaluations, agent frameworks, and MCP or similar orchestration.

• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, AWS or an equivalent platform, API design, and contemporary CI/CD practices.

• Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python.

• Proven history of hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers amid evolving scopes.

• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities; comfortable working across Product, business units, Security, and Compliance.

• Experience in a regulated environment such as fintech, lending, or payments is advantageous.

• Familiarity with integrating AI or agentic tools into the software development lifecycle to enhance engineering throughput is a plus.
