Engineer Surveyor – Pressure Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Perform hands-on inspections of equipment and facilities at factories, warehouses, and other commercial locations.

• Assess pressure systems, including compressed air and steam equipment, as well as pressure vessels and boilers.

• Collaborate with the Engineer Surveyor team under the guidance of a Senior Operations Team Leader.

• Generate examination reports utilizing electronic reporting systems.

• Evaluate installations, foresee potential issues, and assist clients in adhering to applicable legislation.

• Coordinate meetings, site visits, and allocate work through short-, medium-, and long-term planning.

• Manage inspection documentation and handle general administrative tasks.

• Provide support and act in place of fellow Engineer Surveyors as needed.

• Regularly travel to client sites from a home-based office.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current knowledge and understanding of all relevant compliance and regulatory standards related to the Pressure Mechanical discipline.

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering field—preferably Mechanical Engineering—or actively pursuing an equivalent qualification.

• Experience working with steam generation, compressed air, and related equipment.

• Ideally, experience in manufacturing (QA and production), maintenance and operation, repair, and site inspection.

• Excellent customer interaction abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Valid UK driving licence.

• Effective time management skills and the ability to independently organize weekly tasks.

• Capability to travel efficiently within the designated work area.

• Proficient in processing documentation and managing general administrative duties promptly.

• Willingness to assist and act on behalf of fellow Engineer Surveyors when necessary.

• Comfortable using tablets and smartphones in the course of work.

• Incorporated Engineer qualification is preferred.

• Familiarity with Responsible AI principles is a plus.
