Engineer II, Frontend – Protection

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop the dispute dashboard from the ground up, featuring deadline visibility, evidence status, and response tracking.

• Deliver frontend features throughout the entire lifecycle as requested by merchants.

• Transform fraud vendor comparisons into practical functionalities for merchants.

• Manage specific components of the native rules engine user interface, including velocity rules, blocklists, and fingerprinting signals.

• Release work to production and assess its impact.

• Collaborate directly with Product and the Engineering Manager as part of a small team.

• Assist in establishing on-call schedules, tools, and conventions for the new team.

• Determine standards of excellence amidst early-stage uncertainty.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in delivering production-ready frontend features with increasing independence.

• Strong understanding of API design principles.

• Capability to build for performance as user demand increases.

• Proficient in writing tests.

• Aptitude for considering edge cases and error handling.

• Genuine attention to implementation details.

• Familiarity with fraud, risk, disputes, or other operationally sensitive fields is a plus, but not mandatory.

• Experience in constructing dashboards or admin tools from scratch is a plus, but not mandatory.

• Comfort with API interactions is a plus, but not mandatory.

• Willingness to assist with a Python backend when necessary is a plus, but not mandatory.
