Engineer, Endpoint

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute strategies for the deployment, configuration, and management of endpoint devices.

• Create solutions that improve endpoint performance, security, and user experience.

• Design and implement contemporary endpoint management solutions utilizing Microsoft Endpoint, Entra ID, and cloud management platforms.

• Automate device provisioning, software distribution, and updates with endpoint management tools.

• Ensure compliance of endpoint devices with security policies and standards.

• Implement and oversee endpoint protection solutions to defend against malware and unauthorized access.

• Utilize cloud technologies for the deployment, configuration, and management of endpoints while integrating cloud applications and services.

• Formulate and enforce security policies and practices suitable for modern work environments.

• Enhance endpoint performance and access to applications and resources in remote or hybrid environments.

• Provide advanced support, including remote troubleshooting and resolution of intricate endpoint issues.

• Collaborate with IT teams to address critical incidents and incorporate new technologies.

• Stay updated with current trends in modern work and endpoint management.

• Evaluate and suggest new tools, solutions, and enhancements to endpoint systems and processes.

• This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience.

• In-depth experience with endpoint management, particularly in deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.

• Proficient in endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, SCCM, and operating systems like Windows, macOS, and Linux.

• Significant experience with modern endpoint management technologies and cloud-based solutions including Microsoft Intune, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365.

• Strong understanding of contemporary work tools and platforms, encompassing collaboration software and remote work solutions.

• Proficiency in security practices and technologies pertinent to modern work settings.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a knack for resolving complex technical issues.

• Strong communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively with end users and IT teams in a remote or hybrid environment.

• Relevant certifications are highly preferred.

• Competence in PowerShell automation for endpoint administration, deployment, reporting, and remediation.

• Strong knowledge of enterprise identity and access management, including SSO, federation services, and integrations with third-party identity providers.

• Experience in planning, executing, and supporting migrations from Active Directory to Microsoft Entra ID.

• Experience in modernizing Group Policy through custom ADMX templates, configuration policies, and migrating legacy GPO settings to Microsoft Intune.

• Hands-on expertise in managing endpoints across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, including configuration profiles, device compliance policies, Conditional Access, security baselines, Windows Autopilot, and Windows Update Rings.

• Strong grasp of endpoint security, infrastructure remediation, vulnerability management, and platform compliance requirements.

• Experience in conducting application portfolio assessments, rationalization, packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management, including application migrations from SCCM/MECM to Microsoft Intune.

• Capability to develop and sustain operational models for application update management, software distribution, endpoint governance, security posture, and application reliability.

• Travel may be necessary or as required.
