This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, manage, and provide support for Business Intelligence (BI) solutions along with the associated cloud data and analytics environment.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams, business stakeholders, and BI team leaders to ensure that solutions align with objectives.
• Supervise project delivery and daily support operations.
• Design and construct upstream database elements, Power BI semantic models, reports, dashboards, applications, and AI-driven analytics solutions.
• Manage and provide support for the Azure and Power BI cloud environments.
• Track platform usage, Fabric capacity utilization, performance metrics, reliability, and cost factors.
• Create and maintain notebooks and automation solutions that adaptively scale Fabric capacities according to usage and business requirements.
• Supply technical specifications for upstream databases, cloud platforms, and Power BI components.
• Enhance and continuously improve BI tools, cloud technologies, and operational workflows.
• Communicate project estimates, updates, and statuses to Project Management and project team members.
• Operate in a dynamic Agile/Scrum work environment.
• Document and set standards, design patterns, operational protocols, and best practices.
• Over 3 years of experience in a BI engineering position, particularly with Power BI.
• More than 2 years of experience in developing database objects and views optimized for reporting purposes.
• Experience in administering or supporting Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Service, or similar cloud-based analytics platforms.
• Proficient in monitoring platform usage, capacity, performance, and reliability, as well as developing automation via notebooks, scripting, or similar technologies.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Background in the retail sector, focusing on analytics, architecture, and/or BI.
• Strong grasp of data management principles.
• Excellent proficiency in DAX and SQL.
• Capability to identify usage scenarios and patterns for BI solutions and convert them into scalable platform architectures.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, along with 3+ years of experience in analytics technologies within a large organization.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, inquisitive, highly driven, team-oriented, and dedicated to a strong work ethic.
• Experience in designing and constructing BI semantic layer models in an Agile framework.
• Practical experience with cloud technologies; familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Fabric, and Power BI is preferred.
• Experience engaging with end users in a support-centric environment.
• Involvement in new system implementations and change management processes.
