Energy Storage – Lean Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with project leadership and the craft workforce to build trust and secure support for lean methodologies.

• Offer consistent feedback to project leadership and the group lean leader regarding lean strategies and cross-project collaboration.

• Assist in ongoing improvement initiatives at the job site.

• Organize and lead improvement events alongside project teams and specialists.

• Reinforce the principles of continuous improvement and ensure the consistent use of tools.

• Aid forepersons in monitoring work processes, evaluating compliance with standardized procedures, and addressing discrepancies.

• Motivate teams to generate ideas and implement continuous enhancements.

• Assist project teams, field leaders, and trade partners in the implementation of 5S methodologies.

• Communicate 5S standards during the onboarding process for new workforce members and trade partners.

• Develop plans and resources to meet 5S standards.

• Support workflow and work management at the site.

• Engage in the development of flow schedules for various work phases.

• Assist superintendents and forepersons with daily planning, work management, and learning strategies.

• Advocate for one-piece flow in self-performed work and minimize batching practices.

• Execute all other assigned tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, or a related field, or a combination of education and relevant technical/field experience accumulated over several years.

• Experience from internships in construction or manufacturing environments.

• Previous experience on construction job sites is preferred.

• A valid driver's license.

• Strong understanding of continuous improvement principles and their practical application.

• High reliability and commitment to following through on promises.

• Proficient trainer and facilitator.

• Ability to influence others through relationship building.

• Self-motivated individual with a proactive approach and a growth mindset.

• A strong sense of curiosity and a positive outlook.

• Capable of effectively collaborating with individuals from various backgrounds and organizational levels.

• Exceptional listening and communication skills, open to diverse perspectives and feedback.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status.
