This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop and implement market strategies that are in line with GridBeyond’s commercial goals, US regulatory requirements, and market opportunities.
• Conduct analysis of US power markets, encompassing wholesale markets, ancillary services, capacity markets, demand response, and flexibility services.
• Keep track of competitor activities, changes in market design, policy developments, and industry trends.
• Convert intricate market and regulatory data into actionable strategies that facilitate revenue growth and market expansion.
• Stay updated on changes in US energy-industry regulations and evaluate developments from regulatory bodies, ISOs/RTOs, industry associations, and stakeholders.
• Identify and handle market regulatory risks in accordance with commercial strategy and risk appetite.
• Assist in registration, qualification, and participation in pertinent US electricity markets.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, operations, trading, and leadership teams to enhance customer engagement, proposals, and market entry initiatives.
• Offer market insights and strategic advice for the positioning of GridBeyond products and services.
• Support scalable market entry strategies for battery storage, renewable assets, demand response, and distributed energy resources.
• Forge relationships with regulatory agencies, ISO/RTO representatives, industry associations, customers, partners, and market participants.
• Represent GridBeyond at industry forums, conferences, stakeholder meetings, and working groups.
• Engage strategic customers and partners in business development and market growth.
• Generate market updates, insights, briefings, and recommendations for internal stakeholders and leadership.
• Set and monitor KPIs for market strategy, commercial opportunities, regulatory readiness, and revenue growth.
• Contribute to thought leadership, industry commentary, customer presentations, and external content.
• Provide operational support, including market submissions and compliance filings.
• Enhance GridBeyond’s market presence and facilitate informed, market-driven decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Energy Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in energy market strategy, market operations, regulatory affairs, demand response, battery storage, renewable energy, or related energy-sector roles.
• Strong understanding of US energy market structures, regulatory frameworks, and commercial drivers that affect revenue growth.
• Required experience with US ISO/RTO markets, such as MISO.
• Knowledge of ancillary services, capacity markets, wholesale power markets, demand response, battery energy storage, and distributed energy resources.
• Ability to formulate and execute strategies that support sales, market access, and revenue growth in a complex regulatory landscape.
• Outstanding analytical, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to translate complex market data into actionable recommendations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with internal teams, customers, partners, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other analytical tools is advantageous.
• Advanced degree is preferred.
