This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Conduct regular reviews of the utility consumption database through data audits and verification checks.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for water and waste data.
• Monitor facility-level waste data to identify opportunities for reduction, recycling, composting, diversions, and exemptions.
• Oversee the construction and demolition waste program within the C&W facility portfolio, including quarterly and semi-annual audits.
• Analyze data on water consumption and irrigation to identify and report anomalies.
• Assist in establishing baselines for future water consumption targets.
• Model historical utility consumption data to create projections for assessing progress toward goals.
• Conduct benchmarking and research on sustainability trends.
• Investigate technologies that support GHG emission, waste, and water reduction goals.
• Develop internal and client presentations.
• Understand third-party irrigation vendor software to evaluate potential enhancements or additions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to integrate sustainability principles and align goals.
• Gain insight into the client’s supply and value chain.
• Contribute to setting internal and external sustainability goals.
• Lead internal client update meetings and necessary reporting.
• Engage in client meetings and workshops while maintaining required documentation.
• Perform QA/QC responsibilities for real estate data reporting.
• Represent C&W in a professional manner and collaborate with personnel to meet goals and objectives.
• Uphold high standards of qualitative and quantitative work.
• Keep skills and industry knowledge up to date.
• Comply with corporate, building, and client policies and procedures.
• Manage internal environmental sustainability reporting, including success stories, sustainability goals, RFPs, and other significant reporting responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in business analytics focused on energy and CO2 consumption.
• Industry-specific certification in one or more areas: USGBC (LEED), IFMA (SFP), AEE (CEM).
• Familiarity with organizations and programs like the Association of Energy Engineers, demand response/curtailment, EPA Energy Star for buildings, LEED Green Building Certification programs, Global Exchange, and Natural Resources Canada.
• Experience with alternative energy sources, energy conservation retrofits, and carbon offsets.
• Proficiency in effective verbal and written communication with senior managerial and executive personnel.
• Capability to perform extended periods of sitting and/or computer work for up to 8 hours daily.
• Ability to move between departments, floors, and properties.
• Clear oral communication skills and the ability to understand information presented both verbally and in writing.
• Competence in reading and conveying information and ideas effectively in both written and spoken form.
