Employment Transition Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance, support, and advocacy for service members, veterans, and their families as they seek civilian employment.

• Assist clients in crafting civilian and federal resumes.

• Equip clients for interviews and develop effective job search strategies.

• Identify and address employment obstacles through tailored guidance and referrals.

• Monitor client progress and ensure precise case documentation utilizing Salesforce.

• Maintain ongoing connections with clients post-training to foster sustainable success.

• Collaborate with employers to highlight job opportunities and advocate for client placements.

• Represent OJRV at hiring events and community gatherings.

• Distribute client resumes and facilitate introductions to prospective employers.

• Keep organized and current employer and outreach information.

• Proven experience in supporting service members, veterans, and/or their families.

• Capability to offer personalized career guidance, resume support, interview preparation, and job search strategies.

• Proficiency in identifying employment barriers and providing referrals to supportive services.

• Experience in maintaining accurate case documentation.

• Proficiency in Salesforce.

• Strong ability to cultivate relationships with employers and community partners.

• Competence to represent the organization at hiring events and community meetings.
