Employment and Education Lawyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide expert legal advice on Employment and Education Law to Council departments and senior stakeholders.

• Manage cases related to employment and education law.

• Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, agreements, reports, and correspondence.

• Represent the Council in Employment Tribunals, Courts, Inquiries, Hearings, and various legal proceedings.

• Offer guidance on legislative updates, case law developments, and emerging legal challenges.

• Conduct legal research and present practical solutions to improve service delivery.

• Assist Senior and Principal Lawyers in ensuring compliance with legislation and maintaining professional standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Post-qualification experience as a Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX Lawyer with a focus on Employment and Education Law.

• Demonstrated experience in advocacy, case preparation, and providing legal advice.

• Ability to manage a legal caseload efficiently.

• Experience in local government is a plus.

• Must be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX).

• Must hold a current practising certificate, if applicable.

• 35 hours of work per week.
