Business Intelligence Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain reporting and analytics solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and contemporary cloud analytics platforms.

• Construct and enhance semantic models, measures, and KPIs that facilitate business and operational decision-making.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert intricate business requirements into user-friendly dashboards, reports, and actionable insights.

• Work alongside data engineering teams to establish semantic models and analytics data products.

• Investigate innovative methodologies for analytics applications using Streamlit, Fabric, and cutting-edge AI-enabled reporting functionalities.

• Report to the Sr. Director - Data Engineering as a member of the Enterprise Data Engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Over 5 years of experience in developing enterprise reporting, business intelligence, or analytics solutions.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, including semantic models, DAX, Power Query, Row-Level Security (RLS), and Fabric analytics capabilities.

• Strong grasp of dimensional modeling, star schemas, and principles of analytics data modeling.

• Experience in gathering requirements and collaborating directly with business stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting solutions.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Experience in analyzing data from modern cloud-based data platforms.

• Preferred: experience with Snowflake and contemporary cloud data warehouse platforms.

• Preferred: experience with Streamlit or similar tools for developing interactive analytics applications.

• Preferred: familiarity with data engineering technologies such as Python, PySpark, Fabric Notebooks, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
