Employee Benefits Proposal Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee the RFP (Request for Proposal) process for both new and expanding business opportunities.

• Assess RFP risks related to amendments and new groups.

• Negotiate pricing, competitive rates, and enhancements to products.

• Examine RFP documentation for underwriting viability, evaluation of experience, and accuracy of proposals.

• Manage re-quotes and necessary corrections.

• Handle data input in Salesforce, including stage updates, document uploads, reports, probability assessments, and pipeline management.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with Sales Representatives, Brokers, Underwriters, and Employers.

• Work collaboratively with both internal and external customers to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Exhibit the company's values and brand through professional negotiation, prompt communication, daily check-ins, and scheduled meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Preferred experience with Group Employee Benefits Products.

• Preferred experience with underwriting guidelines.

• Preferred experience using Salesforce CRM.

• A Life and Disability insurance license for all states within the office’s designated territory is required.

• Residency in the Ohio area is necessary.

• A criminal background check along with verification of employment, education, and licensing is required as a condition of employment.
