This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Manage enrollment and termination updates for employee benefits.
• Update employee details within the company's benefits management system.
• Accurately and consistently enter and maintain employee data.
• Access insurance carrier websites to update employee information.
• Review modifications to employee coverage and benefits information.
• Calculate or verify premium adjustments when employee information changes.
• Identify discrepancies by comparing previous and updated premium amounts.
• Maintain precise records of employee additions, removals, and modifications.
• Conduct daily clerical and administrative tasks related to benefits.
• Carefully review information prior to submitting changes.
• Adhere to established procedures for processing employee benefits.
• Communicate with the internal team via designated channels when clarification or support is needed.
• Learn and utilize company-specific systems, including SmartAgents and carrier platforms.
• Potentially take on Tier 1 customer service responsibilities as the role evolves.
• Maintain productivity, accuracy, and responsiveness while working remotely.
• Carry out other related duties as assigned.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Confident and professional in communicating with clients via phone and non-verbal methods.
• Excellent organizational and administrative abilities with a strong focus on detail.
• Prior clerical, administrative, data-entry, benefits, or back-office experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is advantageous, especially for future Tier 1 responsibilities.
• Previous experience in insurance or employee benefits is a plus, though not mandatory.
• Demonstrated stability in employment and a consistent work history.
• Tech-savvy, comfortable working with numbers, data, and premium calculations.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and investigate changes instead of merely entering data.
• Comfortable using web-based systems and spreadsheets.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsive, with the capability to follow procedures and process information accurately.
• Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
• Excellent follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, capable of working independently while adhering to established processes.
• Quick learner, able to adapt to new systems and workflows.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and standard business tools.
• Available to work during U.S. Eastern Time (New York) business hours and adaptable to business needs.
