This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +42 more states.
• Conduct assessments, triage, consultations, counseling, and informational services via telephone in a call center setting.
• Provide immediate mental health assistance through video, live chat, or phone calls.
• Utilize advanced clinical assessments, motivational interviewing techniques, and solution-focused short-term problem resolution strategies.
• Perform risk assessments, substance abuse evaluations, and mental health assessments.
• Create immediate action and safety plans tailored to the level of urgency.
• Suggest suitable levels of mental health and substance use care.
• Share information regarding mental health, substance abuse, community treatment options, and related programs.
• Coordinate resources and facilitate connections to services.
• Collaborate with professionals to ensure positive clinical outcomes and continuity of care.
• Manage multitasking by typing and documenting while managing calls and utilizing supporting tools.
• Safeguard member confidentiality and adhere to enterprise and EAP confidentiality protocols.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation to comply with risk management and regulatory standards.
• Keep current licensure, engage in professional development, and fulfill state licensure requirements.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in crisis intervention.
• Possession of a valid, unrestricted independent professional behavioral health clinical license in good standing for the state of residence; this includes one or more of LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LMHC, LCMHC, LICSW, LISW, or Clinical Psychologist, or an equivalent license.
• Availability for 24x7x365 call center operations, including holiday coverage.
• Proven experience in facilitating positive behavior change for patients/clients.
• A dedicated workspace that is free from distractions, preferably in a room with a closing door.
• Access to a hardwired, reliable broadband or fiber internet connection.
• Minimum home internet download speed of 400 Mbps.
• Home internet upload speed should be between 10–20 Mbps.
• A 4-port modem with one port available for work-related internet use.
• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health counseling profession.
• Preferred experience in dealing with mental health, psychiatric care, family situations, and relationship challenges.
• 1+ years of experience in EAP, Behavioral Health, or Social Services is preferred.
• Preferred experience working with diverse populations.
• Familiarity with brief therapy models and Motivational Interviewing is preferred.
• Previous call center experience is preferred.
• Ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport to foster customer trust is preferred.
• Strong computer skills and literacy are preferred.
