This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.
• Assist learners in preparing for and executing their job search.
• Facilitate the placement of learners into positions with Generation's employer partners.
• Conduct individualized coaching sessions and offer feedback on applications and interview materials.
• Aid learners in developing an employment essentials toolkit, which includes CVs and LinkedIn profiles.
• Conduct weekly group coaching sessions during the three-week program and provide office hours as necessary.
• Monitor learner progress, grade assignments when required, and input data into the Canvas LMS.
• Utilize the AI Career Coaching tool to customize and enhance coaching, while tracking learner usage and progress.
• Assist learners with career trajectory planning and help build their confidence during the placement process.
• Provide support to the Employer Engagement Manager regarding learner placement inquiries and employment documentation.
• Collaborate with Generation team members on learner requirements, data collection, feedback, and training quality.
• Employ Teams, Canvas, Slack, and Google Drive for daily operations and remote teamwork.
• Comply with Generation's policies, procedures, and guidelines to prevent legal liabilities.
• Participate in mock interviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Oversee learners’ transition to full-time employment and meet recruitment deadlines.
• Design and facilitate events that connect Generation graduates with potential employers.
• Manage placement activities, including the usage of the Employability Module, scheduling interviews, and collecting job-search and attainment data.
• Monitor unplaced alumni and inform them of suitable job openings.
• Maintain ongoing communication with learners, graduates, and the Generation team.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in career coaching, employment counseling, or hiring, managing, and/or coaching entry-level recruits from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong skills in building relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills adaptable to various audiences.
• Comfortable conducting one-on-one conversations and providing honest, constructive, and supportive evaluative feedback.
• Capable of developing and nurturing trusting, supportive relationships with learners.
• Current knowledge of employability essentials, including CV writing, LinkedIn usage, and interviewing skills.
• Proficient in analyzing and using data to guide operational decisions.
• Capable of learning new technologies, including AI-driven tools.
• Proactive self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, take initiative, and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Results-oriented with the ability to measure success through metrics and analytics.
• Positive, solution-focused mindset with a commitment to excellence.
• Belief in Generation’s mission and a passion for contributing to social good.
• Final candidates must provide 2–3 employer references, including email and phone numbers.
• Preferred: experience in workforce development or educational/training roles.
• Preferred: experience working with a diverse range of beneficiaries.
• Preferred: proficiency with Canvas or similar LMS, Salesforce, and Google Workspace.
