This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +3 more countries.
• Establish the strategy and standards for the email marketing department, which includes developing processes, playbooks, and quality assurance protocols.
• Participate in client calls to advocate for email marketing strategy and outcomes, with the possibility of direct oversight of specific accounts.
• Collaborate with leadership on decisions regarding departmental tools, workflows, and roadmaps.
• Provide reports on departmental performance and overall health to agency leadership.
• Conduct and supervise email marketing audits utilizing platforms such as Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailchimp, and others.
• Formulate strategies for automation, segmentation, A/B testing, and lifecycle marketing across client accounts.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance copywriting, optimize campaigns, improve segmentation, and streamline reporting workflows.
• Prepare monthly reporting documentation and reflect on results across the department.
• Ensure that list hygiene, segmentation, integrations, and deliverability management adhere to high standards.
• Oversee technical deliverability aspects including DMARC, DKIM, and SPF.
• Innovate and experiment with new email marketing strategies, including workflows enabled by AI.
• Assist in tracking analytics and strategizing for upcoming campaigns.
• Coordinate cross-channel strategies with the wider marketing team.
• Evaluate existing email accounts, present prioritized roadmaps, build departmental infrastructure, and foster team relationships within the first 90 days.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in email marketing, with a background in leading or mentoring others.
• Proficient understanding of email and SMS marketing.
• Experience in managing both small and large email volumes and contact lists.
• Demonstrated success in managing client accounts and/or leading a team.
• Experience with e-commerce or D2C brands, whether in an agency setting or in-house.
• Familiarity and comfort with utilizing AI tools in daily email marketing tasks.
• Hands-on experience with platforms such as Klaviyo, HubSpot, and Mailchimp.
• Proficient in email account setup, migrations, and technical integrations.
• Experience working within established processes, playbooks, or departmental infrastructure.
• Agency experience is preferred.
• Previous experience in building or scaling an email marketing function.
