This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of 6–8 newsletter distributions each day for Blavity, AfroTech, Travel Noire, and HealthStack.
• Create both RSS-automated and fully manual newsletters following established workflows and the send calendar.
• Utilize editorial judgment for manual newsletter elements based on content performance analytics.
• Keep communication open regarding status updates, obstacles, and escalations with editorial, creative, and engineering teams.
• Conduct pre-send quality assurance, reviewing content, links, assets, compliance, audience integrity, rendering, and scheduling.
• Manage and disseminate the complete send schedule along with build windows.
• Track weekly audience snapshots and list-health metrics.
• Contribute to bi-weekly Key Performance Indicator reporting on editorial newsletter metrics and trends.
• Use Iterable for campaign creation, audience management, analytics, and templates.
• Identify, document, and escalate platform issues with comprehensive context.
• Execute newsletter redesigns, send-time optimization, and template rebuilds without interrupting the send schedule.
• Hands-on experience with Iterable is essential, including campaign builds, audience lists, segmentation, and drag-and-drop templates.
• Proven experience managing high-volume email production across various properties and both automated and manual workflows.
• Proven ability to adhere to multi-step quality assurance checklists under tight deadlines.
• Capability to interpret open rates, click-through rates, and engagement statistics.
• Strong commitment to following documented processes and workflows.
• Clear and proactive communication regarding challenges, escalations, and progress updates.
• Ability to independently research solutions before seeking escalation.
• Comfort with using AI tools and platform-native resources.
• Proficiency in Claude, Google Suite, and Asana.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS for email is preferred.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics for analyzing editorial content performance is preferred.
• Experience with editorial newsletters targeting Black and multicultural audiences is preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be available to work according to the Pacific Time Zone schedule.
