This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Support students throughout their academic day via video, ensuring they remain focused, on task, and advancing through their learning at a suitable pace.
β’ Guide students on mental preparation, training routines, the competitive journey, and balancing academics with serious sports commitments.
β’ Establish a trustworthy relationship while offering guidance, accountability, and constructive feedback in both academic and athletic contexts.
β’ Assist students in navigating the learning platform, tackling challenging material, and cultivating effective study and time-management skills.
β’ Uphold standards for effort, concentration, and behavior; deliver direct feedback and recognition.
β’ Provide transparent and honest updates to parents and academy staff regarding academic achievements, athletic involvement, and future steps.
β’ Competitive figure skating experience at the senior level, either in U.S. Figure Skating or internationally through ISU.
β’ Practical experience working with youth in roles such as coaching, tutoring, mentoring, camp counseling, teaching, or similar positions.
β’ Ability to build trust, uphold standards, deliver direct feedback, and identify when a young athlete requires support.
β’ Proficient in clear and consistent video communication, capable of conducting one-on-one sessions.
β’ Skilled in providing informative written updates to parents and staff.
β’ Dependability, punctuality, follow-through, and organizational skills are essential.
β’ Must be located remotely in the U.S., equipped with reliable internet and a quiet setting for video sessions.
β’ Preferred/bonus: recent experience in senior-level competitions.
β’ Preferred/bonus: background in youth figure skating coaching, camps, or structured athletic environments.
β’ Preferred/bonus: credentials from the Professional Skaters Association or equivalent coaching certifications.
β’ Preferred/bonus: experience in teaching, tutoring, or classroom leadership.
β’ Comfort with video technology, learning platforms, and messaging applications.
β’ Pay: $25/hour
