Elementary School Teacher – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver designated elementary course material in an online setting

• Provide dynamic and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences

• Tailor learning and differentiate instruction based on student proficiency

• Enhance course content utilizing suitable synchronous and asynchronous tools

• Manage the grade book and uphold student academic integrity

• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion

• Track student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system

• Notify administrators regarding concerns about student performance and advancement

• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments

• Establish and nurture positive relationships with families

• Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents promptly

• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting

• Collaborate with fellow teachers to analyze student data and utilize it to inform instructional decisions

• Occasionally travel for professional development, student assessments, and school-required activities

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree

• Active state teaching license

• Ability to pass the necessary background check

• Capability to work independently

• Capacity to maintain a professional home office free from distractions during work hours

• Ability to collaborate effectively with other educators

• Proficient in interpreting and creating numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data

• Skill in using student data to inform instructional decisions

• Open to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers

• Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure successful student outcomes

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

• Capability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms

• Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum

• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time for in-person professional development, student assessments, and/or school obligations

• Experience with the specified age group is preferred

• Experience assisting adults and children with technology is preferred

• Experience in online/virtual teaching or in a traditional classroom setting is preferred

• Familiarity with online learning platforms is preferred
