Elementary School Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Delivers engaging and interactive learning experiences for students in both synchronous and asynchronous formats.

• Customizes learning pathways to meet the needs of all students.

• Tailors instruction according to each student's level of mastery.

• Enhances course materials by utilizing suitable asynchronous and synchronous tools, with direction from the principal and coach.

• Manages the grade book while ensuring the integrity of student academics.

• Makes decisions regarding student placement and promotions.

• Notifies administrators about concerns related to student performance and progress.

• Prepares students for significant standardized assessments.

• Builds and maintains a positive relationship with families.

• Communicates promptly with students and learning coaches/parents.

• Assists learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional matters, as well as basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom setting.

• Travels as necessary for professional development, student assessments, and other school-related events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid state Department of Education Elementary School (K-5) Teaching Certification is mandatory.

• Preference for candidates residing in North Carolina or South Carolina; those from neighboring states (GA, TN, VA) may also be considered.

• A Bachelor's degree is required.

• An active state teaching license is necessary.

• Capability to pass the required background check.

• Ability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.

• Must maintain a professional home office free from distractions during working hours.

• Experience with the specified age group is essential.

• Proficient in assisting both adults and children with technology usage.

• Experience in online (virtual) and/or traditional teaching environments is required.

• Familiarity with online learning platforms is essential.

• Ability to analyze and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data to inform instructional decisions.

• Must maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and be fluent in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint is required.

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms is necessary.
