Elementary School Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +46 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver dynamic and interactive synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.

• Tailor learning approaches to meet the needs of all students.

• Differentiate instruction according to student mastery levels.

• Enhance course material utilizing suitable asynchronous and synchronous tools under the direction of the principal and coach.

• Manage the grade book and uphold student academic integrity.

• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.

• Notify administrators about concerns related to student performance and progress.

• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments.

• Establish and sustain positive relationships with families.

• Communicate and respond promptly to students and learning coaches/parents.

• Assist learning coaches/parents with curriculum-related, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting issues.

• Track student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system.

• Travel for in-person professional development, student assessments, and other school-related activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid state Department of Education Elementary School Teaching Certification is mandatory.

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Active state teaching license is necessary.

• Capability to pass the required background check.

• This position is virtual and available to residents of all 50 states and Washington, D.C.

• Must be able to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.

• Must maintain a professional home office free of distractions during working hours.

• Willingness to travel as needed, approximately once per month and/or about 20% of the time.

• Experience working with the specified age group is essential.

• Background in supporting both adults and children with technology use is required.

• Experience in teaching in either an online or brick-and-mortar setting is necessary.

• Familiarity with online learning platforms is expected.

• Ability to interpret and generate numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data.

• Capacity to utilize student data to inform instructional decisions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint is required.

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.

• Must maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and remain fluent in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
