This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Provide support for at-risk students to help them achieve their academic objectives and enhance their growth.
• Adjust and tailor the K12 curriculum to comply with state content standards while catering to the unique needs of each student.
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers through individualized and small-group instruction sessions.
• Inform and educate parents about effective instructional strategies.
• Apply the RTI instructional framework to boost student performance.
• Supervise data collection and progress tracking at all tiers.
• Utilize data to assist teachers in planning both whole-group and small-group lessons.
• Guide educators in recognizing and grouping students who require additional assistance.
• Gather and manage RTI data, including lists of eligible students and intervention plans.
• Act as a daily RTI resource for administrators, school leadership teams, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and monitor Tier 2 interventions alongside teachers, advisors, counselors, and district staff.
• Provide continuous RTI training and assistance to school and district personnel.
• Aid teachers in tracking student progress.
• Collaborate with the special education team to facilitate the eligibility process for special education.
• Travel for in-person professional development, student assessments, and other school-related responsibilities.
• A valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certification is required.
• Residency in Michigan is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's degree is necessary.
• An active state teaching license is required.
• Capability to pass the required background check.
• Ability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.
• Capacity to maintain a professional home office free from distractions during work hours.
• Proficiency in interpreting and creating numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data to inform instructional decisions.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and educational platforms.
• Capability to uphold teacher certification/professional development hours and proficiency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Experience working with the specified age group is preferred.
• Experience assisting both adults and children in utilizing technology is preferred.
• Experience teaching in online and/or brick-and-mortar settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms is preferred.
