Elementary Math Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +38 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide tutoring in math and reading for K–8 students throughout the USA.

• Implement pre-designed, effective math lesson plans.

• Offer focused assistance to students who are often performing at or below grade level.

• Conduct online tutoring sessions, generally lasting 30 minutes each.

• Select the grade levels you wish to tutor.

• Claim individual sessions or recurring weekly tutoring series.

• Establish tutoring hours during peak demand, typically from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM ET.

• Maintain an attendance rate of at least 80% for claimed sessions.

• Provide a potential five-minute recorded demonstration showcasing your tutoring style.

• Complete onboarding, which includes setting up a payment account, undergoing a background check, and participating in paid self-paced training.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a classroom teacher, in EL/ESL/ELL roles, tutoring, coaching, or similar student support positions.

• Experience with online instruction; a college degree is preferred.

• Capability to deliver pre-designed math lessons effectively.

• Ability to assist students in enhancing their skills at or below grade level.

• Skill in establishing professional relationships with students.

• Competence in fostering an encouraging and motivating learning environment.

• Access to a computer (laptop or desktop) and a webcam.

• A clean, distraction-free workspace is essential.

• Reliable high-speed internet with a minimum speed of 20 Mbps is required.

• Must reside in and tutor from one of the designated eligible states or Washington, DC.

• Sessions must be conducted from within the 50 United States or Washington, DC.

• Availability to tutor for at least one hour from Monday to Thursday between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM ET is necessary.

• Attend at least 80% of the claimed sessions.

• Pass an in-person fingerprint-based FBI background check with clear results.
