This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Collect, organize, and assemble patient information and records to streamline the billing process within an electronic documentation framework.
• Prepare accurate and consolidated patient data for the Electronic Records Department.
• Follow up on any missing documentation, including dictation and patient records.
• Address departmental inquiries regarding missing and/or additional information.
• Acquire knowledge of the daily functions of the department and the company.
• Execute and assist with various departmental tasks as required.
• Demonstrate leadership by fostering teamwork, achieving departmental objectives, enhancing knowledge, adapting positively to changes, and proactively working with minimal oversight.
• Aid in resolving conflicts through constructive explanations and persuasion.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of two years of experience with computers.
• Proficiency in using basic personal computers within a Windows environment.
• Familiarity with medical insurance and its terminology is advantageous.
• Competence in operating office equipment, such as scanners and copy machines.
• Capability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to carry out assigned tasks in an orderly fashion.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Skills to identify, research, and resolve problems and discrepancies.
• Ability to thrive in a multitasking environment.
• Proficiency in performing basic mathematical calculations.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
• Capability to recognize emerging issues and communicate them to management.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Regularly sit for extended periods and occasionally walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 15 pounds.
• Must possess close visual acuity.
• Experience in document imaging is preferred but not mandatory.
