This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Collect, organize, and assemble patient information and records to streamline the billing process within an electronic document framework.
• Prepare accurate and consolidated patient information for the Electronic Records Department.
• Follow up on incomplete documentation, including dictation and patient records.
• Respond to departmental inquiries regarding missing or additional information.
• Become acquainted with the daily operations of the department and the organization.
• Carry out and assist with various departmental responsibilities as required.
• Exhibit teamwork by supporting departmental and company objectives, helping colleagues, adjusting positively to changes, and working proactively with minimal oversight.
• Aid in conflict resolution by effectively communicating and addressing issues constructively.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of computer experience.
• Proficient in using basic personal computers in a Windows environment.
• Familiarity with medical insurance and related terminology is advantageous.
• Competence in operating office equipment, such as scanners and copiers.
• Ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner.
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality.
• Skill in processing assigned tasks in an organized fashion.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Capability to identify, investigate, and resolve problems and discrepancies.
• Ability to thrive in a multi-tasking environment.
• Proficiency in performing basic mathematical calculations.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
• Ability to recognize emerging issues and relay them to management.
• Experience in document imaging is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods, with occasional walking, standing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 pounds.
• Close visual acuity is required.
