This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Collect, compile, and organize patient data and records to support the billing process in an electronic documentation environment.
• Prepare accurate and organized patient data for the Electronic Records Department.
• Follow up on any missing documentation, including dictation and patient records.
• Address department requests for missing and/or additional information.
• Familiarize yourself with the daily operations of the department and the company.
• Carry out and assist with other departmental responsibilities as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of two years of computer experience.
• Experience in document imaging is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Proficiency in utilizing basic personal computers within a Windows environment.
• Understanding of medical insurance and related terminology is advantageous.
• Competence in operating various office equipment, such as scanners and copy machines.
• Ability to communicate in a polite and professional manner.
• Capacity to uphold confidentiality.
• Ability to manage assigned tasks in an orderly fashion.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Capability to identify, investigate, and resolve problems and discrepancies.
• Ability to thrive in a multi-tasking environment.
• Proficiency in performing basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
• Ability to recognize emerging issues and communicate them to management.
• Capacity to work with minimal supervision and adapt positively to changes.
• Skill in assisting with conflict resolution.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 15 pounds.
• Required to have close visual acuity for job performance.
