This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Oversee, operate, and repair electrical systems
• Assist in and execute electrical installation and maintenance activities
• Interpret, read, and implement drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical code standards
• Evaluate electrical equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
• Install, maintain, and replace AC/DC motors, drives, starters, and relays
• Install, maintain, and replace electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, support structures, fiber-optic and line assemblies, lighting, and other electrical components
• Install, maintain, and replace generators and industrial storage batteries
• Conduct preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems
• Set up electrical circuits, panels, conduit, protective devices, switches, and equipment in accordance with the NEC
• Rectify connections and wiring on equipment controls
• Work collaboratively with team members and colleagues
• Guide, coach, and supervise Electrical Apprentice employees when assigned
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned
• A valid Minnesota electrical license OR a license from a state that has a reciprocity agreement with Minnesota is mandatory
• Capability to maintain an organized work environment
• Ability to work in underground locations, inside buildings, or on rooftops
• Willingness to travel up to 100% and work at various sites as business needs require
• Fundamental understanding of electrical concepts
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Valid certifications and licenses, as necessary
• Familiarity with construction, quality, safety, and OSHA regulations
• Preferred: valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Willingness to work overtime and travel to remote job sites approximately 80–100% of the work week, including overnight stays
• Ability to occasionally lift more than 50 lbs.
• Capacity to stand, sit, walk, lift, squat, push, pull, climb stairs, ladders, and potentially towers, as well as hear, see, reach, grasp, and use hands and fingers to operate computers, telephones, power tools, and equipment
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, at heights, around moving mechanical parts, vehicles, equipment, and in loud or persistent noise environments
• Per diem may be available to qualifying employees under the company's Travel and Per Diem Policy
