Electrical and Mechanical Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Offer technical and design assistance

• Communicate with clients and collaborate with other field technicians

• Assemble and construct system components

• Perform tests and troubleshoot electronic or electrical designs

• Provide and/or expedite project documentation

• Aid in organizing and verifying documentation for new equipment

• Assist in creating production and/or manuals for new equipment

• Request parts and/or materials for projects

• Create drawings, sketches, wire lists, and parts lists

• Review and amend documentation for projects

• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance and maintain PM records and reports

• Repair and diagnose issues with electronic, electrical, and/or mechanical equipment

• Deliver technical support for mill and field equipment

• Program PLC and HMI systems

• Program AC/DC drives

• Execute other job-related tasks as assigned

• Adhere to all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-year technical degree and/or relevant experience in the field

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• High level of technical proficiency

• Ability to tackle complex problems and apply technical knowledge to specific situations

• Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally

• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs

• Must be able to maintain uncomfortable positions for extended periods

• Must be able to work in various weather conditions

• Must be comfortable with getting dirty and/or working in contaminated environments

• Must be able to work at heights and use manlifts
