This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Create precise and competitive estimates and bids for commercial electrical and HVAC projects.
• Examine project plans, specifications, scopes, and bidding documents to assess labor, materials, equipment, and total project costs.
• Evaluate project needs and establish pricing for the Maryland commercial sector.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and cost evaluations for electrical and/or HVAC scopes.
• Operate directly within client systems and estimating platforms.
• Keep organized and accurate estimating records along with pricing information.
• Collaborate with the client team throughout the estimation and bidding phases.
• Investigate and implement current market, labor, and material pricing.
• Recognize potential cost risks, scope discrepancies, and estimating errors prior to bid submission.
• Enhance and uphold efficient estimating workflows and processes.
• Adhere to deadlines and manage several estimates while ensuring accuracy.
• A minimum of 3 years of estimating experience within the U.S.
• Proven experience in estimating commercial electrical and/or HVAC projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of U.S. commercial construction practices and pricing.
• Experience with Maryland or Mid-Atlantic projects is highly preferred.
• A degree in Civil Engineering or relevant hands-on estimating experience.
• Proficient in English with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Capability to analyze plans, specifications, scopes, and construction documents.
• Solid understanding of labor, material, and project costing.
• Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for assigned estimates.
• Comfortable working remotely within client systems and processes.
• Full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.
• Availability to work on Eastern Time.
• Willingness to undertake a paid skills assessment.
• Familiarity with ServiceTitan, McCormick, Snap Count, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore, or On-Screen Takeoff is preferred.
• Portfolio, sample estimates, or work examples showcasing estimating experience, if available.
• Dedicated to one client during working hours.
