Electives Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Establish daily connections with students through proactive outreach using phone, text, chat, Zoom, and email.

• Guide learners through the designated curriculum and reinforce essential concepts.

• Monitor student engagement and academic progress, providing timely personalized interventions.

• Deliver timely grading and constructive feedback that enhances learning and fosters confidence.

• Keep accurate records of student progress and the interventions provided.

• Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to promote student success.

• Engage in professional development, meetings, and training sessions.

• Instruct within the assigned curriculum, pacing, and available resources.

• Facilitate live sessions when necessary.

• Assist with proctoring during testing periods, which may include occasional travel.

• Perform additional duties as required to further the mission.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field (mandatory).

• Teacher certification and completion of an approved teacher preparation program (mandatory).

• Ability to obtain certifications in Arizona, Colorado, Washington, and potentially other states as assigned (mandatory).

• Capability to pass necessary background checks (mandatory).

• Demonstrated content knowledge and previous educational achievements with students from diverse backgrounds.

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in Mac OS, Google Workspace, learning management systems, and task management tools such as Asana.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with remote teams.

• Willingness and ability to travel to designated testing locations for proctoring.

• A private, professional, distraction-free remote workspace with dependable high-speed internet.

• Fixed availability from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mountain Time, year-round.

• Commitment to at least 40 hours per week in this full-time exempt position.

• No concurrent employment during scheduled hours; outside work requires prior written approval.
