EHS/OSHA Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Support the training of specialty skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within TEEX Workforce Development Programs.

• Act as the lead instructor at COAST located in Corpus Christi and RAM in Brownsville.

• Oversee Environmental, Health and Safety Program course activities for designated courses.

• Present course topics and demonstrate using teaching aids appropriate for the curriculum.

• Implement adult learning theories and styles to enhance learner achievement.

• Provide effective instruction to a diverse audience.

• Report directly to the ITSI Workforce Development Program Coordinator.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Five years of relevant experience in environmental, health, and safety in the Construction and/or General Industries.

• Two years of experience in adult education and/or training along with a foundation in training concepts and programs.

• Applicants must reside in Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, or Willacy County.

• Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.

• Must have a valid passport or the ability to obtain one within 180 days of employment.

• OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer (OSHA500 and/or OSHA501).

• Equivalency: three years of relevant experience with an Associate's Degree in a related field, or one year of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

• All equivalency experience must include two years in adult education and/or training along with a foundation in training concepts and programs.

• Applicants will undergo a criminal history investigation and credential verification.
