EHS/OSHA Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Support the training of various specialized skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within the TEEX Workforce Development Programs.

• Organize Environmental, Health and Safety Program course activities related to the delivery of assigned courses.

• Serve as a lead instructor, adhering to the TEEX STARS values.

• Present course topics, including demonstrations using course teaching aids.

• Apply adult learning theories and styles to enhance learner success.

• Provide effective course instruction to a diverse audience.

• Report to the ITSI Workforce Development Program Coordinator.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Five years of relevant experience in environmental, health, and safety within the Construction and/or General Industries.

• Two years in adult education and/or training, with a background in training concepts and programs.

• Applicants must reside in one of the following counties to be considered for this position: Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, and Willacy.

• A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.

• A valid passport is necessary, or the ability to obtain one within 180 days of employment.

• OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer (OSHA500 and/or OSHA501) certification is required.

• Equivalency: Consideration will be given to those with three years of relevant experience and an Associate's Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, or one year of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.

• All experience must include two years in adult education and/or training, with a background in training concepts and programs.

• Candidates will undergo a criminal history investigation.

• Employment is contingent upon the verification of credentials and/or other required information.
