EHS Regional Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and implement training programs tailored to specific industries and sites.

• Guide site personnel, management, and executive clients on Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) issues.

• Establish and uphold safety protocols, emphasizing occupational safety alongside environmental and ergonomic hygiene.

• Evaluate and interpret program analytics at both industry and site levels.

• Offer extensive EHS leadership across all departments and for all employees.

• Manage environmental, health, and safety systems, including policies, procedures, campaigns, and programs.

• Plan and execute safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal OSHA regulations.

• Create and standardize best practices for EHS training and communication.

• Formulate and implement EHS policies, procedures, programs, job hazard analyses, and conduct annual safety program assessments.

• Relay health and safety concerns, as well as EHS performance and compliance evaluations, to the Director of EHS and the VP of EHS.

• Perform compliance audits and inspections.

• Develop audit results and confirm the completion of necessary follow-up actions.

• Evaluate the safety, health, and environmental impacts of new processes and equipment.

• Monitor EHS regulations, standards, and reporting requirements, assessing their effect on operations.

• Implement, audit, and continually enhance the focus site program.

• Create, assess, and maintain the knowledge base within the 4Insite software system.

• Conduct interviews, hire, plan, assign, and supervise work; perform performance evaluations; recognize and discipline employees; address grievances and resolve issues.

• Ensure that employees receive training on tasks and safety protocols.

• Travel regularly as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field from a four-year institution, along with 5-8 years of relevant experience; or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Excellent presentation skills to effectively train and communicate company and OSHA compliance.

• Proven experience in multi-site leadership within an enterprise organization.

• Experience in the Life Sciences industry.

• CSP certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals is preferred.

• A valid driver's license may be required.

• Capability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily.

• Willingness to travel regularly.

• Ability to sit frequently, walk often, use hands for dexterous tasks, and stand occasionally.
