This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Identify, establish, and oversee field safety protocols to mitigate injuries.
• Foster and strengthen a robust safety culture while ensuring employee accountability.
• Conduct Job Safety Analyses, site evaluations, and audits.
• Implement required modifications to safety processes.
• Provide OSHA compliance training and safety education for new hires, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Address unsafe behaviors and acknowledge safe practices.
• Set and monitor safety objectives to safeguard employees and reduce company liability.
• Manage workers’ compensation claims and facilitate the return-to-work process for injured employees.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Conduct root-cause analyses and propose corrective measures.
• Assess and suggest enhancements for personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety tools.
• Collaborate with leadership, safety committees, and project teams to integrate and oversee safety in everyday operations.
• Support field and sealant operations by evaluating environmental, health, and safety risks and trends.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction safety, encompassing environmental compliance and reporting.
• A bachelor’s degree in safety management, construction management, industrial hygiene, or a related field is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
• CHST certification is preferred.
• OSHA 10- and 30-hour construction certifications are preferred.
• Familiarity with fall protection systems, rigging, and crane operations is preferred.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications are preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle are required.
• Must be able to wear necessary PPE, including safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high-visibility vest, and hard hat.
• Must be capable of standing, walking, navigating active plant and field environments, climbing stairs, walking on uneven surfaces, and safely moving through industrial work areas.
• Ability to work around moving equipment, machinery, industrial hazards, outdoor weather conditions, noise, dust, and vibrations.
• Willingness to travel frequently to field locations, primarily in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia.
