This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +2 more states.
• Identify, implement, and uphold field safety procedures to avert injuries.
• Foster and strengthen a robust safety culture while ensuring accountability among employees.
• Conduct Job Safety Analyses, site inspections, and audits.
• Enact necessary modifications to safety processes.
• Provide OSHA compliance and safety training for new hires while maintaining precise records.
• Address unsafe actions and acknowledge safe practices.
• Establish and monitor safety objectives to safeguard employees and reduce company liability.
• Oversee workers’ compensation cases and assist injured employees in their return to work.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Perform root cause analyses and suggest corrective measures.
• Assess and recommend enhancements for PPE and safety equipment.
• Collaborate with leadership, safety committees, and project teams to incorporate and monitor safety in daily operations.
• Support field and sealant operations by mitigating environmental, health, and safety risks at construction sites.
• Analyze trends utilizing tools, techniques, and data collection methods, and propose corrective-action recommendations.
• Implement and manage safety programs and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction safety, including environmental compliance and reporting.
• A bachelor’s degree in safety management, construction management, industrial hygiene, or a related field is preferred.
• Bilingual capabilities in Spanish and English are preferred.
• CHST certification is preferred.
• OSHA 10- and 30-hour construction certifications are preferred.
• Knowledge of fall protection systems, rigging, and crane operations is preferred.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle are required.
• Capability to wear necessary PPE, including safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high-visibility vests, and hard hats.
• Ability to stand, walk, and navigate through active plant and field environments.
• Ability to climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and safely navigate industrial work areas.
• Ability to work around moving equipment, machinery, industrial hazards, outdoor weather, noise, dust, and vibrations.
• Willingness to travel frequently, primarily to Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia.
