EHS Executive Leader – Wind Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance the EHS organizational framework within Wind Services.

• Serve as the main EHS representative for the Global Services Leader, collaborating closely with regional and contractor operational leaders.

• Convert intricate safety data into actionable business strategies.

• Work alongside Wind EHS Centers of Excellence to ensure global programs are practical, scalable, and efficient.

• Oversee the execution of EHS initiatives across service regions, including O&M, Blades, and high-risk operations in MCU.

• Integrate safety standards into maintenance activities, repairs, and field interventions.

• Manage the contractor safety lifecycle and enforce Life Saving Rules.

• Spearhead the global implementation of EHS programs in collaboration with Regional EHS Leads.

• Direct monthly reporting and problem-solving related to Wind Services EHS KPIs, including the preparation and action planning for Wind Services and Wind EHS MOR.

• Lead investigations into high-risk near misses, serious injuries, fatalities, and Level A, B, and PSE incidents.

• Guide risk assessment and safety assurance initiatives.

• Formulate strategic initiatives aimed at decreasing incident rates, Level A/B recordables, and PSEs.

• Advocate for a Fatality-Free journey and foster a culture of safety.

• Build, recruit, and cultivate a high-performing global EHS team.

• Mentor WSO operational leaders.

• Report on EHS performance, challenges, compliance, and progress in safety maturity to senior WSO leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related EHS field.

• An advanced degree is preferred.

• Proven experience in leading large-scale, complex, and geographically diverse organizations in high-hazard sectors.

• Background in EHS management or in executing EHS programs in practical settings.

• Knowledge of EHS as a business facilitator with the capacity to balance rigor and adaptability.

• Excellent communication, persuasion, influence, and alignment-building abilities across diverse global teams.

• Proficient in effectively communicating with both field and executive leaders.

• Strong risk management experience focused on reducing incident rates through proactive leadership and structural modifications.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
