This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Assist Aptive in the modernization of Electronic Health Records as part of its Rapid Decision Making Contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Provide timely training and reinforcement materials to enhance end-user education and awareness throughout the VHA.
• Oversee coordination and implementation of activities within the Tiered Hub Process team.
• Drive evaluation and data-informed decision-making efforts, which include defining success metrics and monitoring performance.
• Manage designated workstreams, coordinate teams, track dependencies, and ensure timely execution to completion.
• Plan and implement work within a scaled Agile (SAFe) framework, which involves authoring features and user stories, maintaining backlog health, supporting PI Planning and sprint reviews, and managing carryover and cross-team dependencies.
• Develop, verify, and sustain performance metrics and operational dashboards.
• Convert ticket, workflow, and facility-level data into actionable insights for leadership.
• Engage in evaluation, training, operations, and engagement activities.
• Create visually appealing presentations and supporting materials that adhere to client branding and style guidelines.
• Collaborate with project leaders, trainers, facilitators, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to clarify objectives and enhance content.
• Facilitate working sessions, office hours, and cross-team forums with clinical, informatics, and technical partners.
• Provide briefings to senior stakeholders directly.
• Produce executive-ready Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs), Courses of Action (COAs), concepts of operations, project and strategic plans, business rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and leadership presentations.
• Handle tight deadlines and prioritize tasks autonomously.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 6 years of consulting experience.
• Experience with top-tier management consulting or federal advisory firms is preferred.
• Background in supporting federal clients or executing large-scale process implementations, training, or communications programs is preferred.
• EHR, EHRM, or clinical health experience is preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required, or eligibility must be met.
• SAFe Agile certification is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of management tools such as Jira, Jira Align, Mural, and similar platforms.
• Experience with VA, VHA, or DoD concerning the Federal Electronic Health Record (FEHR) is preferred.
• Familiarity with VistA/CPRS, Oracle Health, and VHA governance and escalation protocols is preferred.
• Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel, including the ability to create charts, trackers, and data-driven presentations.
• Strong research and synthesis abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized.
• Capability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with minimal guidance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust suitability determination.
• Residence in the Washington, DC metro area is preferred to facilitate occasional in-person client and team interactions.
