EHR Integration Engineer – MuleSoft

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and configure EHR integrations utilizing MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform)

• Design APIs and perform DataWeave transformations

• Create and configure connectors, including those for MuleSoft EHR

• Integrate healthcare systems such as Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Athena, or Allscripts

• Work with HL7 v2.5 messages and MLLP transport protocols

• Engage with FHIR R4 resources and RESTful FHIR APIs

• Implement Kafka producer and consumer patterns

• Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy and security requirements for data-in-transit and access control

• Design integration systems that are multi-tenant and configuration-driven

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform) including API design, DataWeave transformations, and connector development/configuration

• Practical experience with MuleSoft’s EHR connectors, integrating with systems like Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Athena, or Allscripts — direct experience with multiple systems is preferred

• Familiarity with the structure of HL7 v2.5 messages and MLLP transport

• Proficiency in FHIR R4 resources and RESTful FHIR APIs

• Experience in utilizing Kafka (including producer and consumer patterns)

• Knowledge of healthcare data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA) as they pertain to data-in-transit and access control

• Strong plus for experience in designing multi-tenant, configuration-driven integration systems
