EEO Attorney, FAD Writing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Drafting and finalizing agency decisions (FADs), which is the primary responsibility of this role.

• Evaluating Reports of Investigation (ROIs) for legal adequacy.

• Supporting the management of informal and formal EEO complaints.

• Handling post-closure compliance and appeals processes.

• Preparing intricate legal documents, such as accept/dismissal letters, appeal filings, counselor’s reports, and memorandums on complaint status.

• Performing legal research and editing tasks.

• Analyzing facts and relevant case law.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree is mandatory.

• Must be licensed to practice law in a US State or Territory.

• At least five (5) years of professional experience as a lawyer is required.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Federal sector civil rights issues and/or handling federal sector EEO complaints is necessary.

• Must have at least three (3) years of experience writing Final Agency Decision reports at the federal level.

• Ability to secure and maintain an active Public Trust Clearance is essential.

• Must be a citizen of the United States.

• Familiarity with Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is required.

• Understanding of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is necessary.

• Knowledge of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act is essential.

• Awareness of the Equal Pay Act is required.

• Familiarity with the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act is essential.

• Knowledge of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act of 1974 is required.

• Outstanding writing abilities are crucial.

• Proficient in legal research and editing.

• Must be prepared to provide references and a writing sample during the interview process.
